Abstract
Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa motif anggota komunitas One Piece Fans Garut bergabung melihat Anime One Piece karena budaya yang sangat mempengaruhi mereka, tokoh yang menginspirasi dan menghibur, alur cerita yang susah ditebak, keinginan menyaksikan anime hingga akhir episode, One Piece sebagai hobi dan bahan diskusi, serta One Piece sebagai gaya hidup. Para anggota komunitas One Piece Fans Garut memaknai bahwa Anime One Piece dapat menumbuhkan rasa solidaritas dan loyalitas antar anggota One Piece Fans Garut, sosok karakter tokoh yang menggambarkan tanggung jawab terhadap diri sendiri, kelompok, maupun keberhasilan di masa yang akan datang, kebanggaan pada saat berdiskusi mengenai topik, adanya kesamaan hobi, dan tujuan cerita yang sama.
The result of this research showed that the motive of one piece fans Garut
community members joining this community is because of the influence of culture
towards them, the inspiring and entertaining the characters, the twisted plot, the
intention to watch one piece anime till the end of the episodes, making one piece as
a life style, and making one piece as a hobby and the topic of discussion. The
members of one piece fans Garut assume that one piece anime can strengthen the
solidarity, and loyalty among community members, the characterization of the main
character describes the self and collective responsibility, as well as suggests future
success, the pride when the members discuss about the topics, having a common
interest and the same story purpose.
