Abstrak
The background of this research is the existence of Citizen Journalism program on the NET 10 news program on NET TV. Where NET TV challenges its viewers to create a video reportage like a professional journalist. Basically Citizen Journalism (Citizen Journalism) has freedom to news what and what people make, but after entering into television news show must meet the rules - rules of journalism because it has become public consumption. The object of this research is news category Moment submission Citizen Journalist who are abroad on news program NET 10 impressions period January 2018. The purpose of this research is to know the application of Five Basics Principles Of Citizen Journalism proposed by Dan Gillmor and JD Lesica who explains there are five basic principles for Citizen Journalism.The research method used in this research is qualitative descriptive method. With a qualitative approach and using a critical paradigm, researchers can reveal the application of the basic principles of Citizen Journalism contained in the news program NET 10 segment Citizen Journalist. The results of this research show that Citizen Journalism in .NET. TV has applied four of the five basic principles of Citizen Journalism to the news of the Moment category of Citizen Journalist submissions abroad that aired on the NET 10 news program for the period of January 2018. The four principles are accuracy, thoroughness, transparency, and fairness. Then for the last principle of independence has not applied the principle.
